A twenty / twenty five minute walk from the city centre is no big deal to most able bodied people; if parking for the disabled, without infringing on green spaces can be provided ( e.g., in the "secret" car park), then there would appear to be no reason to create further general parking.

Yeah, to an extent. I’ve certainly been the tired, time-poor mum with three hours until sundown, desperate to get the kids tired so they’ll sleep, who has driven across town with the bikes on board to use the safe cycling facilities. Coming from the west of the city with kids and crossing the city to reach there is an entire day out. And as for public transport, two buses each way?! Better bring a tent 😬

Given that Black Ash is still losing the council €250,000 per year AFAIK, they missed a trick here in Park ‘n’ Ride negotiations with the GAA for match days.

Yes, walking (and cycling) but esp public transport shld be the big thing to get right here esp. for big matches/concerts, busses shld be going from city centre (thousands of spaces there) Black Ash P+R, Kent Station. Maybe they are? But connect more dots.
