On Monday, July 10, Cork City Councillors are set to vote on a proposal regarding the disposal of a corner of Bishop Lucey Park, including 15 trees, to the Freemasons for a symbolic fee of €1.
This is infuriating. If councillors vote in favor, I wouldn't be surprised to find out that they don't live anywhere near the city centre and don't realise how pathetically little green space there is for us city centre dwellers. Losing even a small corner matters. Is there a way to make our dissent heard?
"Above all this is a vote about fairness”

No way should the park be sold and trees removed
Is membership of the Freemasons open to all the public? Ie both sexes? They used to be male only but maybe it's changed.
