T+D photo competition: Summer in the city and county
From 99s in Fountainstown, whale watching off Baltimore, to balming out in Bell's Field, or running from a sudden deluge, we're looking for your best summer shot of Cork.
We're back with our second installment of Tripe+Drisheen's photo competition. This time, the theme is simple and timely: Summer.
Between now and the end of July, we'd like you to send us a picture that you think captures summer in Cork. Like a noun, it can be a person(s), place, or thing, but it needs to be captured within the county bounds. So, from Ballycotton to Baltimore, Mizen Head to Mallow, and all points in between, if you think you have the shot that captures the magic of summer, send it on.
How do I enter the competition?
You don’t have to be a professional photographer to enter.
You can use any equipment you can get your hands on, smartphones included.
Just email us one medium to high resolution JPEG of the photo you want to enter in the competition, with your name, contact details and a couple of lines about where and when the photo was taken.
Send your photo to tripeanddrisheen@substack.com.
Shortlisted photos will be featured in The Friday View each week on Tripe + Drisheen in August and we’ll announce the winner towards the end of summer.
What will I win?
You will win a €60 cash prize and your photo will be featured in an article about your work.
