Here’s where you can buy Tripe + Drisheen in print...
We'll be on the Coal Quay (Cornmarket Street) all day Saturday, November 13 and you can pick up a copy of the magazine and some other tasteful T+D bits and pieces too.
Finally Tripe + Drisheen the magazine is out in the world and on the streets of Cork. It’s been a mad few months, but it’s great to see the first ever print edition out there. Thanks also to all our new subscribers.

What’s in the magazine?
Lots! Including:
Did you know 206,000 tonnes of waste was exported from The Port of Cork last year? How much of that was recycling? We have a big in-depth investigation into waste in Cork.
Photo spreads from two Cork photographers
Beyond Cold Turkey, a food feature from three amazing Cork chefs: Denis Cotter from Cafe Paradiso, Gautham Iyer from Iyers and Mike McGrath from Miyazaki.
Historian James Furey on the history of Cornmarket
Noel Sweeney meets the Men’s Shed with no shed
Ballyvourney poet Ashley O’Neal
And we’ve also included Tripe + Drisheen readers from Cork around the world, who penned some Christmas memories for us.
We think it’s a great read, but we’re a little bit biased.
Come and meet us at the Coal Quay
Ellie and JJ will be manning a stall with copies of Tripe + Drisheen at the Coal Quay Farmer’s Market tomorrow (November 13). We’ll also have some Tripe + Drisheen mechandise featuring our lovely pigs and our “Slow news is good news” motto.
It would be lovely to meet readers and put names to Twitter and Instagram handles. So do drop by if you’re in town.
About our cover
Cork’s RoboTrees have made it on to the cover of our first ever print run, along with the family of pigs. The cover design is by the wonderful Emer Kiely, an illustrator from Cork, and the magazine design and lay out is by the incredibly patient David Crowley. A huge thank you to both!
And thank you to all our readers. Enjoy the read!
